Well it was a languid, busy, gorgeous summer but it had to end sometime! We drove home to Ottawa last Saturday, and spent the next two days prepping for school and the general fall routine. While summer is all about fun, fun, fun, the start of a new school year is back to schedules and routines and a sense of more purpose and doing.

I’ve been hearing a lot about seasons, not just the actual seasons we teach our small children about, but the idea of seasons in our lives. There’s a season for everything, aka, It’s not party time all the time. In our house, we’re going into a season of focus and productivity. A season where we set goals and try to chip away at them a little every day. It’s like that lovely Jason Mraz song says, It takes some work to make it work it takes some good to make it hurt it takes some bad for satisfaction.
