Ohhh, I love this so much, Noha, you brought tears to my eyes. I just got to spend a weekend with my sister and our high school friends at my sister’s house many states away from mine, and we laughed soooo much. I miss the times when we shared a room and talked and talked before bed. Someday we hope to take a sister trip (that we’re just planning, like your cross-town walk but hasn’t been years of it, just early days!). I hope we’ll do it. OMG I love that for you! We’ve done a couple of those (sister’s weekends, trips where we went to visit each other. Last winter, three of us went away for 5 days and it was the first time we’d ever taken a fully sisters-only trip in our lives!)

My sister. She passed away in 2001. I still think about all the things we did, all the things we were going to do, and all the things we never did. 25 years of a part of my heart missing.
I miss my cousin Parisa, because she's more like a big sister, confidante and friend than a cousin for me (we're both born in 1991, and she's only nine months older than me). She's been living in Salzburg for the past nearly two years, and she's one of the reasons I've started learning German since the past two years.
This is lovely. Funny, I have an older sister whose name starts with a Z. We're three years apart and were inseparable as kids and still very close. Lots of good memories alhamdulillah.
Awww that’s so sweet. My sister’s name doesn’t actually start with a Z but it’s become my “code name” for her because she didn’t want her real name used when I write about her on the internet. I let all my sisters choose if they wanted their real names or to choose names and she chose one that sounds nothing like her real name lol.
