How special to have the self-awareness that you have developed to your toddler stage!

As a delayed processor- I typically don't realize I have entered a new phase of development until I am well underway, something I am working on.

I am so interested in your current work & writings to come around being a visible minority.

Cheers, Noha!

It’s taken a lot of conversations with some wonderful friends to get here, and I’m so grateful to them and to this whole community fir giving me the space and the opportunity to share. I do a lot of second guessing so talking it out was helpful. I’m really excited (and scared) about where this will take me

Noha. As a fellow writer from Canada who started here around the same time, I consider it an honour and a privilege to be watching, reading (and now listening!) as you’ve grown into your toddler stage of this newsletter writing. I feel the same. Empowered and ready to grow into full fledged adult newsletter writing stage over these coming years. I admire and support you. While I can’t upgrade to paid quite yet, I look forward to reading every other week and upgrading as soon as I can. I know it will be worth it! Congratulations 🥳.

One must write what you know, but also write in the hopes of knowing or simply sitting with the questions.

It's the hardest part! I hate uncertainty, but nothing interesting happens when I think I already know everything. All I have is my perspective.

Expand full comment

Yes. You have that recognition of uncertainty, yet the ability to gather more information as well as to listen with your heart.

I look forward to your posts, especially because there are so few platforms giving voice to Muslim women. My chances of getting to know a what a Muslim woman thinks are close to zero here on the coast of Maine. Even with all the news from Gaza, women's voices are rare. It's very sad to say this, but most of the Muslim women we see in the news are dead. Your voice is precious.

Noha, I fully support your step here, which seems like a beautiful honoring of yourself and your stories, as well as a practice of healthy boundary setting. I so much appreciate what you share here and how I learn from you.

I'm doing a sort of informal circle of generosity thing -- with every 5 paid subscribers or donations I receive, I am upgrading to a paid subscription for a small group of writers I would really love to support. You are on that list, and I look forward to upgrading soon. Many blessings to you.
